Now

What I'm doing
right now.

Updated May 2026

A now page is a snapshot — not a resume, not a newsletter. What I'm actually working on, thinking about, and constrained by. The concept.

Working on

Ripple Treasury nav redesign

Deep in the interaction model for a platform that processes billions in daily treasury operations. Nav26 — the first structural update in 8+ years — is moving from prototypes to production.

Nodus infrastructure

Running 17 specialized agents daily. Current focus: agent-to-agent context propagation, trust provenance at the output level, and knowledge graph synthesis across sessions.

Structured Thinking

Writing the next piece on design semantics — three possible paths from W3C Design Tokens to formal ontology. Draft complete, editing for precision.

This site

Refreshing the content and brand positioning. Dogfooding Nodus to iterate on the copy, the design philosophy, and the content strategy.

Thinking about

The ontology gap

FIBO has 1,346 classes and 273 object properties. Design tokens have string values. The distance between those two facts is where most design system problems live. The gap is intellectual, not technical.

Local-first AI as default

Every serious practitioner will need a personal AI stack. The question is what trust architecture that requires — provenance chains, context isolation, and storage guarantees that cloud tools structurally cannot provide.

Design delivery beyond handoff

Not AI-assisted design. AI-orchestrated design delivery — where the design system, the documentation, and the production artifact are generated from the same structured intent. The handoff problem is an ontology problem.

How I work

Full-time at Ripple Treasury

Lead Product Designer. Ship production code alongside design work. Side projects happen in margins — evenings, early mornings, agents running overnight.

Select consulting and advisory

Design systems, AI infrastructure, finance-domain product design. I take on work where the domain is genuinely hard and my specific experience shortens the path.

Reading

Thinking in Systems — Donella Meadows

The foundational text. Returns to it when product decisions feel arbitrary — which is often.

The Architecture of Privacy — Courtney Bowman et al.

Trust architecture for systems that handle sensitive data. Applies directly to how I think about Nodus and local-first AI.
